I got tired of sitting around mopping over the weather and feeling sorry for myself so I did what I love the most – planning a dream summer vacation in the south of France, St tropez to be particular.
Why St Tropez?
St tropez or the french riveira in general, is exactly what you would want at a vacation destination. This French Riviera gem offers everything you could want in a vacation destination – stunning beaches, beautiful architecture, world-class dining, and endless opportunities for adventure. If you’re looking for a vacation that combines luxury, relaxation, and excitement, St. Tropez is the place to be.
So here’s a preliminary travel itinerary for us.
Day One: Explore the Town
On the first day in St. Tropez, we would take some time to explore the town. Wander the charming streets and admire the beautiful pastel-colored buildings that line the narrow alleys. Then we would visit the Place des Lices, the town square where locals gather to play petanque, a traditional French game similar to bocce ball. A stop by the Eglise Notre Dame de l’Assomption, a beautiful church that offers stunning views of the town and the sea is guranteed.
As the day winds down, I would find a nice beach restaraunt to enjoy a French Martini and watch the sunset overlooking the beach.
Day Two: Hit the Beaches
St. Tropez is known for its beautiful beaches, and there are plenty to choose from. Some of the most popular beaches include Plage de Pampelonne, Tahiti Beach, and Plage de l’Escalet. Spend the day lounging on the sand, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, and soaking up the sun. Nigel being the adventurous one, could rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore the coastline from the water.
My only job would be to lounge under a beach umbrella and order cocktails (chef’s kiss). Also, this is the mood board for day two lounging on the beach 🙂
Day Three: Indulge in the Food
St. Tropez is home to some of the best restaurants in the world. From Michelin-starred establishments to quaint cafes, there is something for everyone. For a truly unforgettable dining experience, we would book a table at L’Olivier, a restaurant situated in a beautiful olive grove. Alternatively, we could head to Le Club 55, a legendary beachside restaurant that has been a favorite of celebrities for decades. Maybe we will bump into Kelly Wearstler and I’d ask for an internship (lol).
Day Four: Take a Day Trip
If we have time, we would consider taking a day trip to one of the nearby towns. Nice, Cannes, and Antibes are all within easy reach and offer plenty of things to see and do. Alternatively, we could take a boat trip to the nearby islands of Porquerolles or Port-Cros. These idyllic islands are home to some of the most beautiful beaches and coves in the Mediterranean.
In conclusion, St. Tropez is the ultimate vacation destination. With its beautiful beaches, charming town, world-class dining, and endless opportunities for adventure, it’s no wonder that it’s a favorite among travelers. Whether you’re looking to relax on the beach, explore the town, or indulge in some delicious food, St. Tropez has it all. So why not plan your next vacation to this beautiful French Riviera gem?
See you in St. Tropez.
